What is an FFL Transfer?

An FFL transfer is a legal process that allows individuals to transfer firearms across state lines or purchase firearms from online retailers. Likewise, federal law requires that all firearms transfers must be conducted through a licensed dealer.  Which we are licensed to do at North Scottsdale Loan & Guns. Therefore, this requirement ensures that all applicable laws are followed, and that the buyer is legally permitted to possess a firearm.

The FFL transfer process can be broken down into three main steps:

Step 1: Locate a Licensed FFL Dealer

Ta Da!  You found us!  Our address is 7126 E Shea Blvd #A, Scottsdale, AZ  85254

We are open Monday - Friday 9am - 6pm and Saturday and Sunday 10am - 5pm.

North Scottsdale Loan & Guns' Federal Firearms License # 9-86-013-02-4H-08400 and expires on August 1, 2024.

Step 2: Complete and Submit Our Online Application

The next step in the FFL transfer process is to complete our online application and submit it.  After that, we will swiftly start the process by submitting your application with the NICS.  If your background check is approved, the process will continue, with the seller sending the firearm to us.  Once we have both the approval to release the firearm, along with your firearm from the vendor, we will contact you, and let you know it is ready and waiting for you.

Complete and submit the application below, in detail.  In addition, if you have a Concealed Carry Permit, please include the permit number.  Moreover, this will allow the process to be swift and efficient.

Step 3: Pick Up Your Firearm.

When you arrive at North Scottsdale Loan & Guns, we will collect the transfer fee of $40, complete the 4473 form and transfer the firearm to you. However, you will need to provide identification to prove that you are the intended recipient of your gun.

Things to Consider

There are certain types of firearms that are restricted or prohibited from being transferred across state lines. These include machine guns, short-barreled rifles, and short-barreled shotguns, among others. As a result, it is important to research any restrictions that may apply to the firearm you are interested in before beginning the transfer process.

In addition, it is important to ensure that you are legally eligible to possess a firearm. Because the background check process is designed to identify individuals who are prohibited from possessing firearms. In the end, we will not be able to release the firearm to you, if the background check is not approved.

We are listed as an FFL Dealer on GunBroker.com directory, and a fine selection of firearms for sale are listed as well on their site.
